Search should understand the task
Global Search results are organized by category. A user can browse tours, rooms, spaces and properties instead of working through a single list. That structure helps when the same phrase could refer to several types of content.
Global Search considers the customer's question, the type of asset and the user's current location in the platform. Results can vary based on where the search begins, because context changes what is likely to be useful.
The CMD+K or Ctrl+K interaction supports the same principle. It is a familiar shortcut that gives users a direct path to action. Hotel sales and marketing teams deserve that same level of ease in the software they use to sell.
Routine work deserves a shorter path
The first share is an act of exploration; the fiftieth is an act of muscle memory. Someone learning the platform is happy to browse the menus. Someone who shares every day should be able to move from intent to sharing without thinking about where things live.
By the time someone opens the platform, they usually know exactly what they want. The room, the property, the tour — the planner or guest experience is already formed in their mind. Navigation asks them to convert that into how the platform is organized. Search lets them start from what they need instead.
This is where hotel technology is heading. Users should not need an internal map of a product before they can complete familiar work. The system should meet them closer to their intended goal.
