Our Visiting Media family is growing! Our newest (and youngest) addition to the team is Austin Griffiths. You may just want to pinch his cheek. He says things like “Good heavens” and “Woo!” a lot. We’re extremely happy to have been selected as Austin’s new “virtual home” and to help break the ice we’ve asked Austin to share his answers to some very important and ridiculous questions.

Q: Austin, who is this amazing dog in this picture?
A: Zola, or Zola-Bear. She is a Sable German shepherd at 1 year old. She is a comet of joy in my life! She is a rescue from a previous job. She keeps us pretty warm in the winter – You’d be amazed by how long she stretches out.
Q: And, who is this adorable woman by your side? Give us the scoop! Curious minds want to know!
A: Sissel is a dream (Austin actually swoons here)… She pushes me to be a better person. She is a chiropractor here in Hood River (Oregon) and is very active in ultra marathons and cycle cross racing. You could say she loves a challenge. One day I will be able to keep up with her… For now, I just try to keep up with Zola.
Q: Tell us about your last job?
A: I actually trained to be a certified nurse. I worked with stroke patients mainly. I branched out from there to every unit including the Emergency Department. I specialized in patient transfer safety and movement protocols. I really love working with people, and learned to be “silently helpful,” if you know what I mean. You are interacting with people who are experiencing their worst day, and it was an honor to get to help them. But, I also love technology! I’m a total geek, and when I heard about Visiting Media and TrueTour it really felt like an opportunity of a lifetime to join the team!
Q: What do you hope to achieve as a member of the Happiness Team?
A: TrueTour is an AMAZING sales tool, and new members might like to have the extra support and training so they can maximize their ROI. Ben [Powers] always says we are a “virtual extension of a member’s marketing department.” In Member Happiness I hope that I can make a member’s learning curve feel like a walk in the park. Learning is my favorite! And I would like others to enjoy learning about the power of TrueTour as well. There is a pretty cool rush when I know I’ve been of use and made things better for others. Ultimately, I want the member to be really empowered by our company and also seek help when she or he needs it. I’m still the “silent helper”, LOL.
Q: What is your favorite Netflix binge and what would your last meal on earth be?
A: Stranger Things and… If I had one last meal on earth… I would fly to Lima Peru and find myself some Ceviche. Good heavens, do Peruvians make a mean Ceviche. Woo!
