Tell us about yourself.

My name is Vincent Ybanez and I’m the owner of Virtual View Tours since 2018. I’ve always had a strong passion for good story telling whether it’s a video games, movies or photographs. When I’m not working I’m typically watching a movie or playing video games. I usually don’t watch any movie more than once if I’m by myself with the few exceptions of my all time favorite movies, “The Truman Show” and “Whiplash.” I actually watched “Whiplash” 4 times in one day when I first watched it! It was either the drive to be the absolute best in your craft or that it reminded me of my wrestling coach back in the day. My favorite video game revolves around any of the “Metal Gear Solid” games but typically it lands on “Snake Eater”.

I have a Pomeranian/Chihuahua named Luna that sheds a lot but never barks and a small Bombay looking cat named Toothless. Some of my favorite types of photos that I take are “tiny planets” that show the world in a unique take. I even took some of my wedding and printed them onto a light up globe!

What got you working in 3d photography?

Long story short, I moved 11 times in 8 years around the LA area. I was working full time, going to film school full time and directing a new short film. The end of the year was always pretty stressful for me trying to find places and I just knew that there had to be an easier way to explore all of these apartments/homes. After doing some research I found out about 360 virtual tours and just knew that I wanted to help make this a mainstream medium!

What is your favorite shoot you have done with us?

My most favorite shoot that I have ever done with Visiting Media was hands down the first one. I captured almost the entire first floor of the SLS Beverly Hills! It took two full days and had me going through a bunch of different scenarios. Restaurants, shops, event spaces, etc…To this day it’s still one of the larger spaces that I’ve captured. I loved it so much that I printed the dollhouse view of the model and put it on my iPad!

How long have you been capturing content?

I’ve been creating content since 2018 and can’t wait to see where this technology takes us in the future! I’ve always been into some form of media since high school. Constantly shooting short films with some of them winning a few awards. My dream is to one day direct at least 3 feature films.

What on-site tip do you have to make sure shoots go smoothly?

It’s always very important to walk the entirety of a location and make sure that they are all prepared for a shoot. It’s can be very difficult to hide from a 360 shoot so having everything perfect ahead of time can easily speed up the process of capturing.

What was the last emoji you used on your phone?

I tend to say “lol” way to much so naturally its this one I love the animated Memojis that apple has as well!

What was your first job?

Being such the film lover that I am, naturally my first job was working at a movie theatre! I worked at a Regal Edwards and made sure to watch nearly every single movie that would come out. I would be able to get free tickets for friends if they were with me so its easy to say that there were a few movies that I saw a handful of times.

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Paris is my absolute favorite vacation destination. I just love everything about the city. The people are always so nice, they have some of the best food I’ve ever had, the public transport is way better than LA’s and the architecture always leaves me in awe.
