TrueTour® Success Story: Southpark Seafood Receives Adrian Award

It is thrilling when a member embraces the potential of TrueTour in an exciting way. It’s even more thrilling when they are acknowledged by their community, by their peers, and recognized globally for their innovation.

We’d like to congratulate COHO Services and Southpark Seafood for receiving an Adrian Award from Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) for Digital Marketing Innovation. Specifically, Southpark is recognized for their use of TrueTour in the strengthening of their brand.

It’s inspiring to see our members using TrueTour® to give their users an unforgettable experience. COHO Services and Southpark Seafood truly encompass the meaning of farm-to-table by providing diners with a way to visualize exactly where they source their menu items and ingredients. Not only do they provide their customers with the luxury of knowing where their food comes from but they also display a great sense of local community.

Explore how fun their TrueTour is! We collaborated with the team to add multiple Interactive Points of Interest (IPoI’s), inviting the viewer to learn more, explore, read the menu, and of course, make a reservation.

“TrueTour has been an integral part of our marketing strategy,” says Maili Morrison, Executive VP of COHO Services. “Once we had the idea for engaging our patrons, TrueTour offered the perfect delivery solution. We have VR [virtual reality] viewers upon request at the tables, and it’s hilarious to watch the diners explore. Not only are they entertained, they have an unforgettable and emotional experience with us. They leave feeling like they know us, love us, and they definitely want to tell their friends. This has been an absolute home run campaign for us, and launched with over 1 million hits out of the gate.”

COHO Services Honored With Bronze Adrian Award For Digital Marketing Innovation

COHO Services, a Portland, Oregon based management company was honored [February 20, 2018] in New York City by Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI). A Bronze Adrian Award was given in digital marketing innovation for COHO’s winning entry in the annual Adrian Awards, the largest and most prestigious global travel marketing competition.

The award winning campaign, which was selected among 1,100 entries, brought to life farm-to-table dining using virtual media technology.  In collaboration with COHO’s owned restaurant, Southpark Seafood in Portland, Oregon and Visiting Media’s TrueTour® platform, diners are able to virtually interact with local food and beverage purveyors.

“We are honored to have received this award.  It means a lot to be recognized within the industry for our achievements,” said Maili Morrison, Executive Vice President for COHO Services.  “I am truly thankful for the passion my marketing team brings to our businesses, and the commitment from everyone at Southpark to execute such an amazing campaign.”

The campaign initially launched to help spread the message about Southpark’s farm-to-table philosophy.  However, the digital dining experience has now become a part of the menu at Southpark.  On any day, guests can visit Southpark and request the use of complimentary cardboard virtual reality goggles to view the many local produce farms, wineries and shellfish farms used by the restaurant on their menu.
