Meet Matt Hammond, Head of Traditional Content for Visiting Media

Tell us a little about yourself.

My name is Matthew Hammond and while most people love to talk about things going on in their lives, you really have no idea how difficult it is to talk about “YOU” until you are being asked to formally talk about you.

I have been blessed to be the husband of an incredible, radiant, unbelievably awesome wife (Lauren) and have 3 crazy kids (Caleb-12, Reese-8, Levi-4). We have recently made a massive move back to my childhood home on a farm in Sherwood, Oregon. It’s an incredible opportunity and one that has divine fingerprints all over it!

Tell us about the concept behind the Traditional Content Division.

The Traditional Content department was dreamed up after numerous customers asked if we offered photography or video services. After enough of these inquiries, the idea for a new department arose. However, in launching something new, we didn’t want to simply mimic what was happening in the marketplace. Our model is so uniquely different from other content providers and that’s because at our core, we are an innovative technology company.

When we applied our existing model to the offering of Traditional Content, it became apparent that a new paradigm could be achieved if we conveyed enough value to our customers. That value is intrinsically tied to the notion that our customers should always have relevant, current media and that the best way to support them was to become an extension of their marketing team. Our goal with Traditional Content is to become our customer’s “On Demand” media company.

We’re launching photography and video services and charging a monthly fee with the plan so that we can return to each venue every year and reshoot whatever is needed to help the customer maintain their content. Furthermore, the streamlining of our processes enables us to provide significantly more content in our deliverables than the industry standard at a rate that is much easier for the customer to swallow. We believe we’re sitting on an industry-changing product offering and we’re excited to be launching now in a season of rebranding and updates as customers prepare to re-open their businesses after the pandemic.

What specifically about the Traditional Content offering are you looking forward to bringing to our customers?

I love the idea that we can bring a high-quality deliverable (photos/videos) at a fixed monthly cost to our customers that effectively replaces an expensive budgetary line item. In short, we’re saving the customer money and providing a superior product than is currently offered in the marketplace.

What energizes you at work?

At the core, I love strategy and executing on a plan to solve big problems… even more detailed, brainstorming with our team and launching new initiatives to execute on the solutions is what gets my blood going for this work.

How do you prefer to start your day?

I like to wake up early (4:30) and hit the gym. Done by 5:30. Home and ready to go by 6. But my favorite time is between 6-7 when I can pray, read, and journal/write before the kids wake up and the day begins.

What’s a career-related accomplishment you’re really proud of?

Career accomplishments are boring – HAHA! 😆 😛  I love being a husband and father and taking my kids on adventures. That to me is far more important and fulfilling than any success I’ve experienced.

Do you have any upcoming travel that you’re most looking forward to?

Sitting on a plane en route to a project in Omaha. Really looking forward to the Video project in December in the Florida Keyes.

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Black Butte Ranch, Golden CO.
