May on the road: IMEX Frankfurt, Private Luxury Split, and the Schulte Conference
May put most of our team on planes. Three events, three weeks, and the follow-up is still rolling in.
Private Luxury Split | May 10–13
Private Luxury Split is an invitation-only event held at Le Méridien Lav in Split, Croatia, built around pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings between luxury travel suppliers and buyers. Three days, back-to-back meetings, amazing connections.
The audience is what made it a truly inspiring experience. Luxury hoteliers and event planners in the same room is exactly the context where visual storytelling does its job. When someone is deciding whether to recommend or book a property, being able to show what that space actually looks and feels like shifts the conversation. We had a lot of those exchanges at PLE and came away with some good new relationships on both the supplier and planner sides.
We also did a soft launch of something new we’re building for the event planning community. It’s still early, but if you want to hear about it before we go wide click here.
Christie, Managing Director of Private Luxury Events, sat down with our team to talk about where our work might overlap. We’re continuing that conversation.
Between meetings, the group visited Ancient Salona, an archaeological site about 20 minutes from the hotel that was once a Roman provincial capital. It was a wonderful experience and Private Luxury serves one-of-a-kind, unforgettable opportunities for the industry.
IMEX Frankfurt | May 18–21
IMEX Frankfurt is the meetings industry’s annual trade show in Germany, and 2026 drew record attendance. Our team (Chelsea, David, Gino, Marta, and Albert) was there for all four days.
This year we partnered with IACC Meetings, which led to some of the more substantive conversations we had at the show. IACC CEO Mark Cooper ran a session on their Meeting Room of the Future 2026 research, which our team contributed to. The research covers how attendee expectations, experience-led design, and technology are changing how meetings get planned and run.
The thing we kept hearing from planners and hoteliers throughout the week: they want better ways to show what a venue actually looks and feels like before anyone books a flight. That’s the problem Visiting Media was built to solve, and hearing it come up independently, across a lot of different conversations, confirmed we’re focused on the right thing.
Schulte Conference | May 18-21
The Schulte Annual Leadership Conference brings leadership from across Schulte Hospitality Group’s portfolio together for a few days of strategy and connection. This year it was held at the Ellie Beach Resort, and Michael and Kyle were on-site representing Visiting Media throughout.
Getting property and brand leaders into one room is exactly the setting where visual storytelling earns its place. When the people deciding how a property gets positioned can actually see what a space looks and feels like, the conversation shifts fast. We had a lot of those exchanges this year and came away with strong new connections across the group.
